Pinot Noir: The 2022 Estate Pinot Noir is an equal blend of our 2 original hillside plantings offering a beautiful expression of our Russian River Estate. Hand harvested in the early dawn of September 2022, we then hand sorted and kept about 30 percent of the lot whole cluster before fermenting in open tanks with 3 daily hand punch downs. The finished wine was then racked to 30 percent new French Oak and was aged for 12 months with no fining or filtering before bottling.
Beautiful aromatics escape from the glass with a mix of red fruits, dried flowers and citrus. On the palate the wine shows terrific balance with a fruit forward easy drinking approach mixed with juicy acidity and an alluring finish. The Estate Blend is a true Pinot lovers wine and is made to be enjoyed today.
Rose:
Hand harvested on 09/15/2023 in the early dawn we immediately went to a light whole cluster press using minimal skin extraction to give the wine a nice pale hue. Fermented in a cold stabilized stainless steel over a three week period to increase vibrancy and freshness we then fermented a small amount of Saginee juice from our main harvest to enhance structure and balance. The end result is a beautiful Rose of Pinot Noir with aromas of citrus and ripe red fruits. The first sip will draw flavors of juicy ruby red grapefruit and ripe strawberries leading to a perfectly balanced finish. This wine is be enjoyed immediately with friends. Extremely limited quantities produced.
